Mae Ysgol Eifion Wyn wedi ymunno y tymor hwn yn y Cynllun Ysgolion Iach sydd yn cael ei gefnogi gan Awdurdod Addysg Gwynedd a’r Gwasanaeth Masnachol. Mae sylw mawr wedi cael ei roi yn ddiweddar I wella iechyd a ffitrwydd em plant. Yn sgil hyn mae yr ysgol wedi ymunno a’r cynllun newydd yma.
Mae’r cynllun yn seiliedig ar gefnogaeth gan pob adran o Cyngor Gwynedd I hybu iechyd a ffitrwydd y plant. Oherwydd hyn byddwn yn ceisio gwneud rhai newidiadau i’r hyn sydd yn digwydd yn Ysgol Eifion Wyn. Mae eich cefhogaeth chi fel rhieni yn hanfodol.
Dyma rhai o’r petbau fydd yn cael sylw:
1. Cinio Ysgol
• Byddwn fel ysgol yn anfon copi o’r fwydlen cinio ysgol adref ddwy waith y flwyddyn. Ni fydd yr ysgol yn paratoi bwyd gwahanol i’r hyn sydd ar y fwydlen ee ‘smiley potatoes’ a ‘turkey twisters’.
• Os oes gan eich plentyn anghenion dietegol yn sgil alergedd neu crefydd bydd yn rhaid i chi ddychwelyd y bonyn sydd yn rhan o’r llythyr hwn i’r ysgol.
Bydd cost cinio ysgol yn cynyddu I £1.75y dydd
2. Pecyn Bwyd
• Ydi’n bosib meddwl am becyn bwyd ‘iachus’. Dim fferins, siocled a chreision. Bydd dwr ar y byrddau felly dim poteli diod.
3. Diodydd
• Gofynnwn yn garedig nad yw’r plant yn dod a photel diod i’r ysgol oherwydd o rwan ymlaen bydd dwr yn cael ei ddarparu ar eu cyfer.
• Mae yr ysgol yn gwario yn sylweddol, tua £1,500 y flwyddyn, ar beiriannau dwr rhwng pob dosbarth ar gyfer y disgyblion felly ni fydd angen potel ddiod ar gyfer amser chwarae chwaith.
• Mawr obeithiwn y bydd mwy o rieni yn caniataü cynnig llefrith i’w plant. Mae llefrith am ddim i ddosbartbiadau Meithrin, Blwyddyn 1 a 2. Mae cost o 50 ceiniog yr wythnos ar gyfer blynyddoedd 3,4,5 a 6.
4. Addysg Gorfforol
• Mae’n angenrheidiol i’r plant gymeryd rhan mewn gwersi gemau, athletau, nofio, awyr agored, gymnasteg a dawns.
• Rhaid i’r plant gyflwyno llythyr er mwyn cael eu hesgysodi o’r gwersi gyda rheswm dilys.
• Gofynwn fod y plant yn dod a dilad addas ar gyfer y wers, sef siorts a crys T, ar ddecbrau pob tymor ac yn mynd nhw adref ar ddiwedd pob tymor i’w golchi.
• Hoffwn, fel ysgol, gael enw ar pob ddilledyn sydd yn eiddo i’r plant.
This term Ysgol Eifion Wyn has joined The Healthy School Scheme which is supported by Gwynedd Educational Authority and Commercial Services. Lately a lot of attention has been given to improving our children’s health and fitness. To this aim we have joined this new The Healthy School Scheme. This scheme is based upon support from all branches of Gwynedd Council to improve the children’s health and fitness. Because of this we will try to implement a few changes to some aspects of school life in Ysgol Eifion Wyn. Your support as parents is essential.
Here are some things that will be receiving attention:
1.School Lunches
• We as a school will send a copy of the school lunch menu home twice a year. The school will not prepare different food to that on the menu i.e. ‘smiley potatoes’ and ‘turkey twisters’.
• If your child has special dietary requirements due to allergy or religious beliefs please fill in the slip provided at the end of this letter.
• The price of school dinners will increase to £1.75 per day.
2. Packed Lunches
• Is it possible to provide a healthy lunch box for the children? No sweets, chocolate and crisps. There will be water on the tables therefore there will be no need for drinks bottles.
3. Drinks
• We kindly ask that the children do not bring a bottled drink to school because as of this term in the canteen water will be provided for them.
• The school spends a vast amount, about £1,500 a year, on water dispensing machines between every classroom. Therefore the children do not need a drinks bottle for playtime either.
• We hope that more parents will agree to offer milk to the children. Playtime milk is free to Nursery, Reception and Years 1 and 2. There is a cost of 50 pence per week for years 3,4,5 and 6.
4. Physical Education
• It is essential for the children to participate in games, gymnastics, athletics, swimming, outdoor education and dance lessons.
• The children must present a letter with a valid reason if they are to be excused from lessons.
• We ask kindly that all the children have appropriate clothing for the lessons, i.e. shorts and T shirt, at the beginning of every term and take them home at the end of every term to be washed.
• We would like, as a school, that all clothing belonging to the children to have their names on them.
